I'm so glad you're here

I'm McKenzie!

The woman behind the resources, and the truth is, I LOVE women’s ministry and I hope you’ll love Risen Mentor.

My desire is to share some of the wisdom I’ve gained from my mentoring and leadership positions over the years, alongside my own experiences and expectations as a mentee myself.

My days are filled with studying the Bible (of course 😉), being married to my husband of 16 years, being a stay at home mom to my two children (15 + 11) whom I also homeschool, and the keeper of our home.

I hope you’ll stick around awhile!

Risen Mentor exists to...

Provide resources and encouragement to Christian women, so they can live out the Titus 2 calling on their life.

It doesn’t matter if you’re 25 or 65, you can mentor someone younger than you, and be mentored by someone older than you.

If you’re feeling like you don’t know how to mentor, where to start, or what to do with a mentee, then you’re in the right place.

My Experience:

Below are some of the ways I’ve been able to serve within my church, as well as within outside organizations, all of which I did for years at a time.

  • Women’s life group leader
  • Trained up multiple women within my life group to start their own groups (and eventually to replace myself)
  • Was a leader *for* leaders of life groups
  • Led multiple small group tables within a large group bible study
  • Led the large group bible study
  • Was asked to co-lead a women’s ministry group called Women’s Skills. I was then interviewed and trained.
  • Was asked to be a women’s group leader for BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) for which I was also interviewed and attended weekly leadership meetings for while leading.

I pray my resources bless you as you mentor and lead women.

The facts

Mentoring is not as scary as it seems, but it’s not easy either.

Women of all ages are desperate for mentorship in their lives, but are too afraid to ask.

you don’t need to know everything to be a mentor.
